Gaja wines do not need many presentations, as they all represent the excellence of Italian wine production in the world.
Gromis is the name of the family from which Gaja acquired the vineyards, in the mid-nineties, in the locality of La Morra.
Born from the vinification in purity of Nebbiolo grapes, it matures a year in barrique and a year in large barrels: its complexity and elegance can evolve and expand for many and many years.
Colour: ruby red, with garnet reflections
Aroma: clear floral notes (geraniums and withered roses) and small red fruits (currants and raspberries, ripe cherries in alcohol)
Taste: concentrated, dense and with fine tannins, suggestive in the sweet texture of the fruit and in its softness; the persistence is truly interminable.
Perfect with full-bodied dishes, ravioli, boiled meats, roasts. Or even alone, as a splendid meditation wine.
